Sales Department - Sales Section
Connecting Japan to the World with Trusted Products and Reliable Partnerships
The Overseas Sales Department handles the export and sales of Japanese food products to global markets, serving as a bridge between the JFC Group, global customers, and suppliers both in Japan and abroad.
Our responsibilities cover every stage of the sales process—from market research and product proposals to quotations, price negotiations, and contract management. We provide tailored solutions for a wide range of clients, including retailers, foodservice operators, and international restaurant chains expanding overseas.
With Australia as our primary market, we analyze global food trends and regional best-sellers to identify products that comply with each country’s import regulations. Close collaboration within our sales team is essential to delivering the best possible solutions.
By working closely with local JFC teams and global business partners, we play a key role in introducing Japanese food culture to international markets and driving its continued growth and recognition worldwide.
Sales Planning Department - Procurement Section
Ensuring a Stable Supply for Global Markets
The Procurement Section serves as the primary point of contact for manufacturers, ensuring a stable supply of Japanese food products to overseas markets.
Each team member manages specific product categories, overseeing procurement and product commercialization for both Japanese exports and trilateral trade. We maintain a reliable supply chain through meticulous product information management and demand planning, working closely with manufacturers, overseas JFC Group companies, and internal departments. Additionally, we stay up to date with country-specific import regulations, labeling requirements, and shifting global trade conditions—selecting products that meet each market's quality standards and regulatory mandates.
Seeing the products we manage successfully adopted and continuously sold overseas is one of the most rewarding aspects of our work.
Product Quality & compliance Department - Global Trade compliance Section
Supporting Japanese Food Export through Specialized Expertise
The Import & Export Operations Section is responsible for obtaining the certificates and documentation required to comply with destination countries' import regulations, coordinating closely with suppliers and government authorities.
These documents form the basis of the rigorous inspections required for export approval. Because incomplete or delayed paperwork can result in shipments being rejected or discarded, we approach every task with a deep sense of responsibility. Although the work carries significant pressure, it is immensely rewarding to know that our expertise helps maintain the company’s global credibility while ensuring the safety and reliability of Japanese food products delivered worldwide.
As global regulations and market conditions continue to evolve, we remain committed to deepening our expertise and executing our duties with the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.
Corporate Service Department - General Affaires Section
Creating a Workplace Where Employees Can Thrive Globally
The General Affairs Section supports the entire organization through a wide range of responsibilities, from daily administrative operations to enhancing the workplace environment. In recent years, we have focused on modernizing office operations through digital technology, creating workspaces that reflect employee feedback, and fostering communication through company events and training programs.
We also manage domestic and international business travel, streamline expense processing, and oversee contract administration in collaboration with our group companies. These duties require flexibility, accuracy, and the ability to adapt to a wide variety of tasks.
While supporting JFC Japan’s global growth from behind the scenes can be challenging, receiving direct appreciation from our colleagues makes our work deeply rewarding.
Overseas Assignment
Driving the Future of Japanese Food Through Global Product Strategy and Quality Management
After gaining sales experience at JFC Japan, I was assigned to JFC Australia, a leading distributor of Japanese and Asian food products.
As Merchandising Strategy Manager, I oversee procurement for the Sydney branch, manage staff, lead company-wide marketing initiatives in collaboration with other branches, and drive product development tailored to local market needs. Together with my team, I focus on creating high-value products that serve as strategic drivers for company-wide sales growth. Additionally, I manage the newly established Quality Control and Export departments, overseeing both operations.
By contributing across the entire value chain—from product development and procurement to quality assurance and export operations—I strive to support sustainable business growth and elevate the value of the JFC brand worldwide.
